The duty of Exportal Ltd is to publish online, within the Tropicscope tourism directory, one or more web pages, under the tropicscope.com domain name for the account of service providers to the tourism and leisure industry of Mauritius for a (renewable) period of one year. Contents of the page(s) to be published are to be supplied by the service providers in electronic format. They are subject to approval by the editors of Exportal Ltd.
In addition to the website, Exportal Ltd may publish contents regarding a service provider's business activity outside the tropicscope.com website (e.g. in Blogs, forums, community websites, via e-mails, RSS Feeds, on online maps etc,) in the pure purpose of advertising your business, without seeking prior notice from the service providers.
Each product and service category proposed by a service provider will be described in a set of 2 "mini website" of a maximum of 5 pages plus extra space for special announcements, one set in English, one in French. These pages are designed to contain texts, pictures, videos and other multimedia material technically compatible with the core website.
All pages are limited to 620 pixels in width and although technically unlimited in length, they are designed to contain brief to moderate amount of contents in order to remain user friendly and limit the "size and weight" of each page in order to assure its fast loading of contents and its functionalities.
The layout inside these areas can be adapted to each service provider provided that they are within the limits in width and weight, contain compatible elements and that the design is fully supplied in html format by the service provider. Where no specific layout is required, Exportal Ltd will be pleased to advise and suggest one of the most ergonomic and commercially efficient standard layouts.
The texts and pictures must aim at describing and promoting the services and products, of a service provider.
Exportal Ltd reserves the right not to publish, modify or remove any part or whole of contents which Exportal Ltd considers or has reasonable grounds to suspect that such contents are:
i) Not relevant to the tourism and leisure industry,
ii) Not relevant to the category of services for which the client is qualified to provide,
iii) Unlawful, harmful, threatening, abusive harassing, defamatory, vulgar, obscene, hateful, misleading, untrue, immoral,
iv) Not in line with the purposes of the web portal,
v) Not in line with local and international copyright laws.

ELIGIBLE service providers are individuals, institutions, organisations and companies, directly or indirectly involved in the tourism, entertainment, or leisure industry. To be listed in the Tropicscope.com database, service providers must be in possession of all relevant permits and licences as requested by law and by the different authorities wherever applicable. Service providers that do not respect domestic laws and regulations, basic moral values and the environment cannot qualify.
In order to sustain the function of Tropicscope.com as an online guide to tourism in Mauritius, Exportal Ltd selects the service providers to be listed on Tropicscope.com in the aim of promoting organisations providing quality services or services with an edge on competition.
Exportal Ltd remains the sole evaluator of the quality of services and of the conditions under which such services are dispensed. Exportal Ltd reserves the right to refuse any applicant without having to disclose the reasons of their decision.
Exportal Ltd will place the page(s) online within 5 workdays after:
i) The contract has been duly filled and signed,
ii) The initial administrative fees and annual subscription fees have been paid and
iii) The contents and page layouts have been approved in writing by the service provider concerned.
The standard and minimal duration of a contract is of one (1) year unless otherwise agreed.

will be granted automatically upon receipt of the signed renewal contract and payment for the annual subscription fees. The said contract and payment should reach www.tropiscope.com offices at least 15 days prior to expiry date of the initial contract. Exportal Ltd will remind each client about any forthcoming expiration. Non-renewal of the contract in due time will lead to the removal of the member's web page from the portal. Should a client wish to renew his contract after expiry date, the renewal will be treated as a new contract; the initial administrative fees will be charged.
Should Exportal Ltd decide to terminate a contract with a client, the client will be entitled to a reimbursement on a pro-rata basis calculated on the amount of days left between the actual termination date and the contracted termination date.
Exportal Ltd supplies quarterly statistics to all its service providers, via e-mail. Service providers will not be granted access to any online counter or to the website's central statistics services. Statistics provided include:
- Total visits (including unique visitors,) hits, page views, time spent,
- Geographical Demographics,
- Total amount of visits for all sections of a service provider's mini site,
- Average amount of visits for the category in which a service provider is registered,
- Number of requests / leads generated,
- Number of visits generated by Tropicscope.com to the service providers' website, (if applicable.)
Exportal Ltd is the sole owner of the portal and reserves the right to advertise any product or service on any page of the portal exclusive of an allotted mini site.
A service provider is not authorised to use any space dedicated to the promotion of his business for advertising third party businesses and / or services.
