The Skins come directly from the Park, La Vanille Reserve des Mascareignes and are carefully selected and treated with natural methods. This direct control in the production of the basic material means that these articles are unique in terms of quality. Their sophisticated design and the choice of colors place them at the very highest level. All products enjoy a 15% tax rebate for purchases over Rs 2000.

The Skins that go in the making of our crocodile products come exclusively from our own breeding farm, La Vanille Réserve des Mascareignes, at Rivière des Anguilles, Mauritius.

Set in a luxurious valley since 1985, this nature Park which also accommodates numerous other species of animals has become, over the years, one of the most visited tourist attractions in Mauritius.

The crocodiles which we farm are Nile Crocodiles, with the original breeding stock coming from a breeding farm in Madagascar.

Our products are available exclusively in Mauritius.  Only the very best specimens are selected for their skins. The selection is made when the animals are around four years old.

The Crocodiles not used for their skins are used for reproduction; thus they play their part in the protection of the species, and in doing so, the protection of nature.

All these activities are carried out under the control of the C.I.T.I.E.S or Washington Convention.

The skins are sent for tanning in Zimbabwe, the country with the best know-how in the tanning.

This prime quality raw material is entrusted to highly skilled Mauritian workers, whose nimble fingers cut and make our products, giving them an all hand-made cachet.  At least 55 hours of work is required to manufacture a handbag; making a cheque-holder requires 25 hours.  It is a long and painstaking task since good quality crocodile skins are delicate to work with.

The special care which we take throughout all stages of the process ensures that our products will still look good as they age. It is our guarantee to you.
