Let Alain & his team, all experienced hunters, bring you to a unique adrenaline pumping hunting adventure in the wilderness.
Due to the ideal all year round temperature of Mare aux Vacoas and its evergreen pasture, the best and most beautiful trophies are only found at the Domaine des 7 Vallées.
More than 2500 deers and wild boars live freely on over 4000 hectares of primitive forests.

Le Domaine des 7 Vallées hunting reserve is situated at Nouvelle France on the central plateau of Mauritius. More than 2500 deer and wild boars live freely on 4000 hectares of the forest. The Mauritian deer (Cervus Timorensis Russa) were introduced on the island in 1639 by the Dutch.
As for the wild boars, historians are not that sure, but they think that it was the Portuguese who at the beginning of the 16th century introduced the wild pigs.

Stalk hunting is one of the hunting methods the more commonly used, but we can also organize hunting in small mobile groups, posted on the “matadors” (Posts of observation).

The Domaine will supply you with the ammunition and the rifles (Tikka, Mannlicher, and Sako & Savage); all equipped with “Schmidt & Bender” telescopic sights.  The hunters will be taken in charge by the experimented guides who will provide the necessary security elements and the smooth running of the hunt. 

It is highly recommended to be equipped with good walking shoes and wear dark clothes (avoid wearing colorful clothes, especially white ones).

The animal killed remains the property of the Domaine, with the exception of the trophies, which will be the property of the hunters.  We also propose taxidermy, freight and other services (phytosanitary permits etc…).

After the hunt, in respect of the hunters’ tradition, our cook will prepare the interior parts of the deer and then the party can carry on….

Hunting when done in a professional way is the most beautiful sport; in fact it is the oldest sport ever.

The rifles are equipped with ‘Schmidt & Bender’ telescopes.

5 Rifles + 5 shotguns (double barrel) owned by the Domaine - possibility of more guns.
- 1 Manlicher (Austria) > calibre 243 (small cartridge) - [for ladies & youngsters of 12-16 years]

- 2 Rifles calibre 308 (make: Tika)

- 1 Manlicher > calibre 306

- 1 Savage > calibre 300

5 Shotguns > calibre 12 - double barrel (small game)

Drive: Maximum: 10 hunters  

Stalking: Each hunter has a professional guide.
